The pirate character voice

I wish there were more commercials like this that needed a pirate voice – I’ve been practising this one since I was about 7 years old, and it’s mostly based on the old TV advert for Old Jamaica chocolate bars in which a pirate (no, really Tim? A pirate? You don’t say?) said things like “yo ho ho and the flavour of rum” and “don’t ee knock it all back in one go”. The adult experience redirected at children, in much the same way they used to sell sweet cigarettes made of sugar so your toddler could start practising its puffing good and early. I did used to eat quite a lot of Old Jamaica chocolate but haven’t developed much of a taste for rum, so take that manipulative advertisers! Client: Pixel Federation, Slovakia.
